VIDEO EDITOR — TIKTOK SHOP Daily Short-Form Content | Product-Focused | High Quality Output QUICK OVERVIEW ∙ Role Type: Ongoing Retainer ∙ Turnaround: Daily — new content delivered each day ∙ Format: Vertical 9:16 | 15–20 sec & 18–25 sec clips ∙ Volume: Multiple clips/day from new + existing footage ∙ Platform: TikTok Shop (affiliate & operator content) ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a skilled, detail-obsessed freelance video editor to produce daily high-quality TikTok Shop content. You’ll work with submitted raw footage to create polished, conversion-focused short-form videos — and repurpose existing video assets into fresh clips without triggering platform violations. This is not a template-and-export role. We want someone who treats every clip like a product — someone who understands pacing, visual storytelling, and what makes a TikTok Shop video stop the scroll and drive results. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Daily New Content ∙ Edit submitted raw footage into 15–20 sec and 18–25 sec TikTok-ready clips daily ∙ Cut for hook strength — first 1–3 seconds must grab attention immediately ∙ Integrate B-roll strategically to enhance product storytelling ∙ Apply slow motion, zoom, and cinematic transitions to elevate production value ∙ Add captions, text overlays, and sound design that reinforce the message ∙ Export in correct TikTok specs (9:16, high resolution, optimized file size) Repurposing Existing Content ∙ Re-cut and restructure existing videos into new clips using fresh edits, different pacing, reordered sequences, and new overlays ∙ Ensure repurposed content is sufficiently transformed to avoid duplicate content violations on TikTok ∙ Create variation sets — same core footage, multiple distinct outputs ∙ Maintain consistent brand quality across all repurposed assets REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE ∙ Proven experience editing TikTok / short-form social content (portfolio required) ∙ Expert-level use of slow motion, zoom, punch-in cuts, and dynamic transitions ∙ Strong B-roll integration — knows when and how to layer supporting footage ∙ Proficient in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or equivalent professional editing tools ∙ Understands TikTok content quality standards and platform policy (no violations) ∙ Experience editing product-focused or TikTok Shop / UGC content ∙ Reliable daily output — this is a high-frequency production role ∙ Fast communication and ability to take direction with minimal back-and-forth BONUS POINTS IF YOU… ∙ Have experience with TikTok Shop affiliate or operator content specifically ∙ Understand viral video structure (hook → value → CTA) ∙ Can write or enhance on-screen text/captions to strengthen conversion ∙ Have a portfolio that includes product demo or review-style videos ∙ Can suggest creative edits, not just execute instructions HOW TO APPLY Please submit: ∙ A portfolio or reel of TikTok/short-form videos you’ve edited (links preferred) ∙ 2–3 examples of product-focused content if available ∙ Your daily availability and typical turnaround time ∙ Your rate (per video, per day, or monthly retainer — open to discussion) ∙ A brief note on your editing workflow and tools you use Quality is non-negotiable.
