Accountant / Financial Controller – Global Tech & Ecosystem Ventures (NL/EU/US)

We're looking for an experienced accountant or financial controller to support a portfolio of international technology and ecosystem ventures. This is a flexible, ongoing engagement — open to independent professionals and agencies — with the potential to grow into a fractional CFO role. ABOUT US We operate multiple ventures across ecosystem infrastructure (B2B SaaS), e-commerce, technology solutions, and startup ecosystem coordination. Our activities span Europe and North America, and we work closely with accelerators, innovation hubs, and tech startups globally. We manage multiple legal entities across jurisdictions, including Dutch BVs and potential US structures. WHAT WE NEED We need someone who can handle the full financial picture across our ventures. Here's what that looks like in practice: Bookkeeping & Administration • Day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple entities (Dutch BV, potential US LLC/Corp) • Accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations • Cash flow monitoring, invoice management, and expense tracking • Payroll administration support Tax Compliance • Dutch tax filings: BTW/VAT, vennootschapsbelasting, IB • EU VAT compliance for cross-border SaaS (including OSS) • US tax obligations where applicable (sales tax, federal/state filings) • Transfer pricing documentation for intercompany transactions • Annual financial statements (Dutch GAAP / jaarrekening) Financial Reporting • Monthly/quarterly management reports • P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow per entity • Consolidated financial overview across the venture portfolio • KPI dashboards and financial metrics tracking • Audit-readiness and KvK/Chamber of Commerce filings Strategic Advisory • Cash flow forecasting and budgeting • Entity structuring advice (holding structures, fiscal optimization) • Financial modeling for new ventures and investment decisions • Fundraising support: due diligence and investor-ready reporting WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required: • Qualified accountant (RA, AA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) • 5+ years experience, ideally with tech startups or SMEs • Strong knowledge of Dutch accounting and tax law • Experience with EU VAT regulations (especially digital services) • Working familiarity with US accounting and tax basics • Comfortable managing finances for multiple entities • Experience with Odoo (our primary platform) or similar cloud accounting tools • Fluent English (Dutch is a strong plus) Nice to have: • SaaS revenue recognition and subscription metrics • Holding/subsidiary structuring (Dutch BV holding) • E-commerce accounting (multi-currency, marketplace payouts) • International transfer pricing • Dutch subsidies (WBSO, EU grants) WORKING ARRANGEMENT • Flexible engagement — not full-time, with room to scale as needed • Fully remote, periodic video calls in CET timezone • Open to retainer or hourly billing TO APPLY 1.
