I’m Dr Rengarajoo and I’ve reached the stage in my doctorate where I need clear, steady guidance on research methodology—specifically the foundations of research design. My background discipline isn’t the focus here; what I really need is a PhD-level teacher who can walk me through the basic principles, help me structure a sound design, and make sure every decision I take is methodologically defensible. Here’s what I have in mind: • Short, regular online sessions (Zoom or similar) where you explain core concepts in plain language and let me ask as many questions as I need. • Practical examples or mini-exercises that relate directly to my topic so I can apply what we cover right away. • Feedback on the suitability of my proposed design choices, including sampling, variables, and overall alignment with my research questions. Once I’m confident with the design, we can decide whether to continue into later phases such as data collection techniques or analysis, but for now the priority is mastering research design basics. If you’re an experienced PhD supervisor or research-methods lecturer who enjoys teaching from the ground up, I’d love to hear how you’d structure our first few sessions and what materials you commonly use.
