We have a very short program that works in Java 8, but when using Java 7 (we have to due to other constraints), we get the following error: [login to view URL]: Received fatal alert: handshake_failure This program uses the htmlunit framework to login into a website and download some data from it. We need someone to fix it and make it work in Java 7. By the way, we are looking for a talented Java developer to do other small jobs for us. If we find someone suitable, we have plenty of job for him.

So as per my understanding the application is giving Handhake failure exception when the request is made from the browser which is using JAVA version 7, it works fine i.e. no exception when request made from browser which is using the JAVA version 8. I had been a security subject matter expert in my previous employment. I have resolved such problem previously, so I can solve it for you. I'll first reproduce the problem by setting up the environment. Next, I'll check by altering few settings in the web server configuration. It will help if you provide more details about what web server is being used by your application. Please let me know more details about the application such as does it support FIPS 140-2?
