1. Perform calculations to check if a system can be developed without using reheat or regeneration. Your calculations should include pressure, temperature, quality at all points, mass flow rate of the working fluid, cooling water mass flow rate and exit temperature, and thermal efficiency of the power plant. Compare the efficiency of this plant with the maximum possible efficiency between temperature limits of the cycle.
2. Improve the design of your power plant by using reheat and regeneration. Your objectives are to increase thermal efficiency and reduce mass flow rate of the working fluid. Present the best design that you can come up with showing the details of the calculations and including the final results in a table. 3. Write a 1-page discussion on your overall design experience and anything else that you could do to improve your design.
