Humanoid silhouette rig + 2 swappable skins: Redcoat soldier and Ninja Project description Overview I need a reusable grey humanoid silhouette / base character that can be rigged and animated, plus two complete skins that attach to the same rig: 1. British Redcoat soldier 2. Ninja The grey base is the skeleton everything sits on. The two skins must share that same rig so I can swap them without rebuilding animations. The character must support: • movement animations (idle, walk, run, etc.) • dance animations • holding / aiming guns • future extra skins on the same body Deliverables A. Grey base / silhouette • Neutral grey humanoid body (adult male or androgynous — recommend what works best for both skins) • Clean animation-friendly topology • Full body rig (fingers included) • T-pose or A-pose • Setup so additional skins can be attached later • Simple grey material only B. Skin 1 — British Redcoat soldier • Period-inspired red coat, white/cream breeches or trousers, black gaiters or boots, tricorn or similar hat, white cross-belts • Should read clearly as a redcoat at game distance, not a museum replica • Include a rifle/musket-ready pose setup (hands can hold a long gun) • Keep it game-ready, not ultra high-poly C. Skin 2 — Ninja • Classic dark ninja look: hood/mask, wrapped torso, pants, wraps, soft boots • Should still use the same body/rig as the redcoat • Hands able to hold swords and guns (even if stylistically odd — I need the rig to support guns) Technical requirements • One shared skeleton for base + both skins • Humanoid / Mixamo-friendly or engine-standard skeleton (Unity Humanoid or UE mannequin — state which) • Clean weights: shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, fingers, coat tails / cloth if any • Weapon sockets: right hand, left hand, optional back/holster • If clothing is separate meshes (coat, hat, mask, etc.), they must still follow the same bones • Game-ready polycount. Tell me your target tris for body + each skin • Formats: rigged FBX for each variant (or one FBX with skinned mesh options) + source file (.blend / .ma) • Textures: PBR (albedo, normal, roughness as minimum). 2K is fine unless you recommend otherwise • Consistent scale (~1.8m) What I will use this for Swap skins on one character, play movement and dance anims, and have the character hold guns. I may add more skins later, so the base must be built for that. Out of scope unless quoted separately • Full animation set (rig must support the anims; I do not need you to animate every dance/walk unless you include a short test clip) • Extra factions / extra outfits • Facial performance rig (basic head/jaw is enough) • Gun/sword models, unless you want to include simple placeholder weapons

Hello Client, This is not an AI bid; this is a self response. Your shared-rig character setup is exactly the right foundation for reliable skin swapping, future factions, and weapon-ready gameplay. I can build the grey humanoid base with clean, animation-friendly topology, then create the Redcoat and Ninja skins on one consistent skeleton with properly weighted clothing, fingers, and weapon sockets. I will target an engine-standard humanoid setup, game-ready tris, PBR textures, and deliver rigged FBX variants plus the editable source file. I can also provide a short validation clip demonstrating skin swapping, movement readiness, and gun-holding poses. Once you confirm Unity Humanoid or UE mannequin, I can begin the base mesh and rig immediately, with an initial review milestone for proportions and topology. Which target should I prioritize for the shared skeleton—Unity Humanoid or UE mannequin—and do you have a preferred triangle budget per skin? Best regards, Sahil

Hello, A reusable humanoid rig with swappable Redcoat and Ninja skins is exactly the kind of game character setup I can build for you. I’ll create a clean animation-friendly base body, rig it with fingers and proper deformation support, then skin both outfits to the same skeleton so you can swap meshes without rebuilding animations. I’ll work in a Unity Humanoid or engine-standard workflow, with clean weights for shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, fingers, and cloth parts like coat tails. I’ll also set up weapon sockets for hands and optional back/holster placement, plus PBR textures and game-ready topology optimized for future skins. Please have a look at our Freelancer portfolio through the links given below. https://www.freelancer.com/u/CreativeDesign50 If helpful, I can also recommend the best base body proportions to suit both costumes cleanly. Best regards Kirandeep K.

Hi there, I’m Harrison, and I have relevant experience with game-ready character setup, humanoid rigging, skin weighting, modular clothing, and preparing characters for animation pipelines in Unity and Unreal. The main challenge here is making the grey base, Redcoat, and Ninja feel like three different characters while keeping one clean shared skeleton underneath. If the topology, weights, proportions, or clothing deformation are inconsistent, animation reuse and future skin swaps can become painful very quickly. My approach would be to build a neutral ~1.8m humanoid base with clean animation-friendly topology, then create both outfits around the same proportions and bind everything to one shared skeleton. I’d recommend a Unity Humanoid / Mixamo-friendly hierarchy unless you specifically prefer the UE mannequin setup. I’ll also set up finger bones, clean shoulder/elbow/hip/knee weights, weapon sockets for both hands and back, and make sure coat tails and layered clothing deform properly. For performance, I’d target roughly 20–30k tris for the base and around 30–45k per complete skin, with 2K PBR textures. I can also include a short animation test to prove that both skins swap correctly on the same rig before delivery. Happy to build this in a way that makes your next 5 skins easier, not harder. Kind regards, Harrison

Hi there, I can build this as a proper reusable game-character system, not just two separate character models. The main thing is getting the shared humanoid rig, clean weights, weapon sockets, and skin-swapping setup right from the start so future outfits can use the same skeleton and animations. You can check my portfolio as well. I already have 3D game-related work there, including weapon assets and character/game modeling, so you can see the kind of geometry, proportions, detailing, and game-ready workflow I’m working with. For this project I’d keep the base around a practical real-time polycount, build both the Redcoat and Ninja on the same rig, use 2K PBR textures, and prepare FBX + Blender source files with consistent ~1.8m scale. I’d recommend a Unity Humanoid-compatible skeleton if Unity is your target, because it will make retargeting movement and dance animations much easier later. Question: Which engine are you using first, Unity or Unreal? Regards, Syed Basit

Hi, The critical part is building one clean shared skeleton and body standard first, then skinning both the Redcoat and Ninja to that exact rig so animations, weapon handling, and future outfits remain interchangeable. I’d recommend a Unity Humanoid-compatible skeleton at ~1.8m with fingers, hand/back sockets, and animation-friendly topology. I’d target roughly 15–25k tris for the base and 20–35k per outfit depending on cloth detail, with 2K PBR textures, clean weights, rigged FBX exports, and the source .blend file. A short movement/weapon test can verify compatibility before handoff. Best Regards, Pavle

Hi, I can help create a reusable humanoid character system with a shared rig, grey base body, and two interchangeable game-ready skins: British Redcoat soldier and Ninja. I’ll focus on clean topology, consistent proportions, and a production-ready setup so future skins can reuse the same skeleton and animation library. I can build the base character, rig with fingers and weapon sockets, create both outfits with PBR textures, skin weighting, and FBX exports compatible with Unity Humanoid or Unreal workflows. I’ll organize the source files, maintain game-ready polycounts, and ensure clothing elements follow the same bone structure for smooth animation swapping. Question: Which target engine should I optimize the rig for—Unity Humanoid, Unreal Engine mannequin, or another custom skeleton standard? Best regards Akshay

Hi, I like this project because the important part is building one clean reusable rig, not two separate characters. I’d use Blender + Unity Humanoid-compatible FBX, with the grey base as the master skeleton so both skins can swap without touching animations. I’d build clean deformation around shoulders, elbows, hips, knees and fingers, with separate clothing meshes weighted to the same bones. Weapon sockets for both hands and back/holster can be included from the start. I’d target roughly 12–18k tris for the base and 15–25k per skin, keeping silhouettes readable at game distance. I’ve worked with game-ready characters, skinning, weight cleanup, FBX export and modular costume setups designed for future variants. One key question: are you targeting Unity specifically, or should I prepare the rig for Unreal as well?
