I’m not sure if you already have a technical script or if one needs to be created. Also, is the 3D aesthetic hyper-realistic or more of a cartoon style? That aspect isn't clear either. I have worked on animated series and a feature film, so I am familiar with the entire process. I’ve created my own animated shorts and worked with various software packages, though I feel most comfortable using 3ds Max with the V-Ray render engine—which is excellent for final output—and handling render passes in After Effects or Natron. Producing a short film like this would require a minimum timeframe of three months or more to cover everything from the technical script, storyboards, and 3D character creation—including modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering—to post-production and sound.
