Project Title SolidWorks Engineering Simulation & Technical Animation – AquaSkin Self-Sealing Pipe Wrap Project Overview (Important) We are seeking a freelancer with strong engineering visualization and simulation experience, preferably using SolidWorks, to create a scientifically credible 3D model and animation for a materials-science product concept called AquaSkin. AquaSkin is a physics-driven, biomaterials-based system that seals pipe leaks using hydrogel / superabsorbent polymer (SAP) beads. This is not a cinematic animation project — the visuals must resemble engineering simulations / technical analysis outputs, similar to SolidWorks Simulation or Flow Simulation presentations. We have attached reference images demonstrating the style, technical aesthetic, and simulation-like visual language we want to replicate. Critical Requirement – Software & Technical Approach Highly Preferred Workflow: • SolidWorks (strongly preferred) • SolidWorks Simulation / Flow Simulation (if applicable) Alternative tools only acceptable if physics realism is preserved: • Fusion 360 (simulation-capable) • COMSOL (if available) • Blender/Maya ONLY with physically believable deformation & expansion simulation Key expectation: Animations must reflect simulation-consistent material behavior, not manually keyframed scaling or artistic effects. Project Objective Produce engineering-grade visualizations that communicate the underlying materials science and mechanics of AquaSkin: Multi-layer composite structure Hydrogel bead swelling mechanics Constrained expansion & pressure generation Leak sealing via deformation & jamming behavior The final result should feel like a technical demonstration / engineering analysis, not marketing artwork. Technical Concept Summary AquaSkin is a three-layer composite wrap applied to a leaking pipe. Layer Structure 1. Outer Layer – Structural Containment High-tensile, non-permeable layer that resists deformation and contains swelling forces. 2. Middle Layer – Active Sealing Matrix Porous matrix containing hydrogel / SAP beads (microspheres) that swell when exposed to water. 3. Inner Layer – Semi-Permeable Membrane Allows water ingress while retaining beads prior to activation. Mechanism to Visualize When a pipe leak occurs: • Water escapes through crack / defect • Water contacts beads via inner membrane • Beads hydrate → volumetric expansion • Outer layer constrains expansion • Swelling generates inward pressure • Beads deform / jam into leak path • Leak becomes sealed by dense gel mass Physics plausibility is more important than molecular precision. Required Deliverables Primary Deliverable – SolidWorks-Style Simulation Animation Create a technically realistic animation showing: • Pipe segment with visible crack / leak path • AquaSkin wrap installed around pipe • Water flow escaping defect • Water reaching bead matrix • Bead swelling behavior • Constrained expansion mechanics • Pressure directed toward leak • Leak sealing / flow reduction Visual style must resemble engineering simulation outputs. Preferred camera flow: External geometry → Section cut → Activation sequence Length target: ~20–35 seconds Structural / Analytical Visualization Produce a simulation-style technical render or short animation showing: • Cross-section of wrap layers • Clear layer differentiation • Dry vs Activated comparison • Expanded beads in activated state • Visually intuitive pressure logic Should resemble technical analysis diagrams, not infographics. Micro-Scale Physics Animation – Bead Behavior Zoomed-in simulation-like visualization: • Dry bead geometry • Water contact & absorption • Swelling / soft-material expansion • Gel-like deformation • Optional multi-bead interaction Avoid rigid sphere scaling — deformation should look material-driven. Output Files • MP4 rendered animation (1080p minimum) • High-resolution PNG renders • Source files (SolidWorks preferred) Visual Style Direction (Very Important) We want visuals inspired by engineering / simulation presentations, similar to: • SolidWorks Simulation outputs • Flow trajectory visualizations • Stress / deformation visual language • Clean white / neutral backgrounds • Smooth technical camera motion Attached reference images illustrate the desired tone and realism. Accuracy Priorities The animation must convincingly show: Expansion driven by water absorption Constrained swelling mechanics Pressure generation logic Soft / gel-like material behavior Avoid unrealistic artistic effects. When Applying, Please Include Software you will use (must specify) Experience with SolidWorks / simulation workflows Portfolio examples (technical / engineering visuals preferred) Cost estimate Timeline

Hi, I have about 4 years of industrial experience in using Solidworks for similar 3D rendering. I am also well versed with CFD so i feel confident I can complete this project to your satisfaction. Is the gel applied all over the pipe? Or at specific locations like connections or wherever there is a leak. Furthermore would you provide an approximate CAD for the structure of the aquagel or do you want to make an approximation based on my understanding. If you are interested we can discuss and finalise on the nitty gritty details

I can deliver a scientifically credible SolidWorks-based simulation and technical animation for AquaSkin. My workflow will use SolidWorks with Simulation/Flow Simulation to model the pipe defect, layered wrap structure, and hydrogel bead expansion under water exposure, ensuring deformation and pressure behavior are physics-consistent—not keyframed effects. I will build a three-layer composite assembly, simulate constrained swelling mechanics, and visualize inward pressure and leak sealing using section views and simulation-style outputs. Deliverables include a 20–35 sec MP4 animation (1080p+), high-resolution renders, and full source files with setup notes for reproducibility. I have experience producing engineering-grade visualizations aligned with analytical presentation standards. Estimated timeline: 3–4 weeks. I can begin immediately upon scope confirmation.
