Request for Quotation (RFQ) – Structural Design & Engineering Consultancy Project: 40,000 Sq. Ft. Solar-Ready PEB Industrial Shed Scope: Structural Design, Proof Checking, and Technical Supervision 1. Project Parameters * Building Dimensions: 80\text{m} \times 50\text{m} (Clear Span). * Eaves Height: 8.0 Meters. * Location: [Insert City/State] – Crucial for Wind Speed & Seismic Zone calculations. * Special Requirement: Provision for Roof-mounted Solar PV System (min. 20\text{kg/m}^2 dead load). 2. Consultant’s Scope of Work The consultant will be responsible for the following deliverables: * Structural Analysis: Complete 3D modeling and stress analysis using [login to view URL] or MBS. * Detailed Drawings: * General Arrangement (GA) Drawings. * Foundation & Pedestal Design (to be coordinated with the civil contractor). * Anchor Bolt Plans and Connection Details. * Shop/Fabrication Drawings (BOM - Bill of Materials). * Optimization: Ensuring the steel design meets IS 800:2007 (or relevant US codes) while maintaining cost-effectiveness. * Proof Checking: Coordination with a third-party auditor for structural vetting. * Technical Specs: Preparation of the Painting Schedule (3-coat PU system) and Sheeting specifications. 3. Technical Compliance Requirements The design must strictly adhere to: * Dead Loads: Inclusion of Solar Panel weight + purlins + sheeting. * Wind Loads: As per IS 875 (Part 3) based on the specific terrain category of the site. * Deflection Criteria: Vertical and horizontal deflection limits must be within L/180 to L/240 for the 50m span. 4.
