I’m building a palm-sized, egg-inspired enclosure that houses an ESP32-C3, Li-Po cell, charger circuit, voltage regulators, EEPROM and a small buzzer. Its main job is health-oriented haptic feedback, so the mechanical design must prioritise a reliable vibration alert and keep weight centred. The shell should be mould-ready plastic, charged through bottom pogo pins, with one subtly flattened face to give it a clear “forward” direction. It may need internal magnets to hold it in place while charging, depending on the other design points. Alongside it I need an equally organic-looking dock that holds and re-charges two eggs at once. Inside the dock will sit a larger Li-Po, its own charger, an extra ESP32 running native Bluetooth and ESP-Now, plus wiring to drive the two device buzzers. Externally the dock offers: • two pogo-pin wells that guide each egg into place, • a USB-C port for mains charging, • a 3-pin connector (or similar) that lets me feed an LED strip. What I need from you 1. Concept sketches and quick CAD mock-ups so we can lock down proportions, surface curvature and placement of the flattened face. 2. Final parametric CAD files (SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar) for both the egg and dock, including all internal standoffs, screw posts and cable routes. 3. 3D-printed, working prototypes: one shell that snaps around my electronics, plus a dock that charges two units via pogo pins and routes power to the LED lead. You can print in PLA or PET-G for speed; surface finish is secondary at this stage. 4. Assembly notes and a short bill of materials for any hardware you add (pins, screws, magnets). Acceptance criteria • Eggs seat firmly in the dock and begin charging on first try. • Vibration alert remains crisp and audible with shell closed. • USB-C input powers both the dock electronics and the two charging bays simultaneously. • All files delivered in native CAD plus STEP for hand-off. If this sounds like a project you can bring from sketch to first article, let’s discuss timing and any early constraints you foresee.

Hi! Your ESP32-C3 choice for the egg device is well-reasoned — BLE 5.0, compact footprint, and staying within the ESP-Now ecosystem for egg-to-dock communication is a defensible architecture that avoids firmware fragmentation. The one area worth pressure-testing early is deep sleep current: the C3 draws roughly 5–10µA in deep sleep versus 2–3µA on a Nordic nRF52, and in a palm-sized Li-Po device that delta compounds over a product's lifetime. Given you're already committed to the ESP ecosystem, I'd keep the C3 but we'll want to nail the power budget — duty cycle, BLE advertising interval, and buzzer actuation frequency — before you size the battery, otherwise you're guessing at a core product spec. In a recent palm-sized IoT sensor project, I designed a pogo-pin charging dock for a curved enclosure where inconsistent seating geometry was causing intermittent charge failures in early prototypes. The fix was a keyed mechanical pocket with magnet-assist alignment that constrained XY position before the pins made contact — exactly the architecture your egg well will need, because a 1–2mm shift in how the egg drops into the dock directly changes contact force and charging reliability, which is your primary acceptance criterion. We can discuss it more in details in chat. Thanks Regards

Palm-sized egg enclosure with pogo-pin charging dock, organic surfacing, and live electronics inside — this is exactly the kind of concept-to-prototype build I enjoy. I'll start with proportion sketches to lock the egg geometry first — curvature, the flattened forward face, and internal volume all need to agree before CAD starts. Once proportions are signed off I'll move to parametric CAD with every standoff, screw post, magnet pocket, and cable route modelled to your actual PCB and battery dimensions. On the dock: the two pogo wells will be shaped to guide the eggs in without looking mechanical. USB-C input, LED strip connector, and internal ESP32 all routed cleanly inside an enclosure that reads as furniture, not electronics. I'll print first articles in PETG — better layer adhesion than PLA for snap fits and repeated insertion cycles on the pogo pins. A few things I want to confirm before sketching: what are the actual PCB and Li-Po dimensions? And is the vibration motor a coin ERM or a linear resonant actuator? LRA placement affects the internal geometry early. Share your component dimensions and I'll have proportion sketches back to you fast. Top Rated on Freelancer since 2018.

Hi, your project combines exactly the kind of multidisciplinary work I enjoy most — compact embedded hardware packaging, organic CAD surfacing, charging-dock mechanics, and rapid functional prototyping. I have 10+ years of experience developing wearable and handheld embedded products, including Li-Po-powered ESP32 devices, pogo-pin charging systems, vibration-feedback products, and manufacturable enclosure designs from concept through first functional prototype. Approach ✅ I will begin with ergonomic concept exploration and organic CAD studies to define the egg proportions, center-of-mass balance, vibration transmission path, docking alignment, and subtle directional flattening. ✅ I will develop fully parametric CAD assemblies for both the egg and dual-bay dock, including pogo-pin alignment geometry, magnet retention options, internal mounting structures, cable routing, and assembly tolerances optimized for iterative prototyping. ✅ I will produce functional 3D-printed prototypes and validate charging alignment, shell fitment, vibration performance, USB-C power distribution, and dual-device docking reliability before final CAD handoff. Questions ✅ Do you already have finalized PCB dimensions/component heights for both the egg device and charging dock electronics? ✅ What approximate runtime and charging duration targets are expected for the egg units and the dock battery system? Best, Yaroslav

Sir: Your needs are very clear. I use PTC/Creo. I have been doing product design since 2008. I have designed many products and opened molds to complete production and assembly. I have rich design knowledge in mold molding and 3D printing design. Because in the early stage of product development, I need to confirm the prototype assembly through 3D printing before preparing to communicate with the mold processing factory for DFM. Confirm the injection gate position, uniform wall thickness, mold flow analysis, parting line position, etc. The plastic material needs to be determined during product development, because different materials cannot be injected with the same mold. I can respond to your instructions quickly and ensure that the task is completed within the specified time limit. Because all these tasks are completed by me alone. I hope to cooperate with you and serve you. I hope to get your response

Hi! Quick question before we start: roughly how many units are you planning to produce, and do you want this designed for injection molding later (and possibly have us support the mold-ready stage too)? We’re a small mechanical design team (including a senior mech engineer with 20+ years experience) and we can handle the full workflow in CATIA—great for smooth, organic surfaces like your egg enclosure, while keeping everything accurate inside for the electronics, vibration, and weight balance. Deliverables: Quick concept sketches + CAD mockups to lock proportions and the “forward” flattened face Final native CAD + STEP for both egg + dock (standoffs, screw posts, cable routes, pogo-pin wells, magnets if needed) 3D-printable prototype files (and we can also deliver printed prototypes if you want) Short assembly notes + BOM (pins, screws, magnets, etc.) If you share PCB outline/dimensions, battery size, pogo pin model (if selected), and target wall thickness/material, we can start right away.

Dear Client, The main challenge in this project is not fitting electronics into an egg-shaped enclosure. The real difficulty is ensuring that mechanical design, power delivery, and haptic feedback all remain stable when everything is miniaturized and enclosed in a curved organic form, especially with pogo-pin charging, vibration feedback, and dual-device docking working together reliably. That is where hands-on product engineering and enclosure-to-electronics integration experience matters. I would approach this by: 1. Reviewing your full system architecture (ESP32-C3, Li-Po, charging, regulators, EEPROM, buzzer, and dock electronics) to identify risks in power stability, charging safety, vibration isolation, and thermal/space constraints inside the egg form factor 2. Developing a build-ready CAD package and prototype path, ensuring the egg shell, internal standoffs, magnet positioning (if required), and dock structure are optimized for real-world assembly and repeated use One key question: Do you already have the exact ESP32-C3 board, Li-Po cell, charger IC, and vibration motor selected, or should V1 include component selection and verification for best fit inside the egg form factor? If you share your current schematics or rough sketches, I can map the cleanest path to a working first prototype that is actually buildable, not just conceptually complete. Best regards, Prat PCB Must Innovations
