For my master's thesis, I request that you model a mosque minaret in 3D using existing AutoCAD drawings on ANSYS. In the model, you will add H-type I-shaped mortise and tenon details to the stair treads, then apply a 1% horizontal thrust to the minaret and report the resulting displacement and moment distributions. The AutoCAD DWG version of the minaret, along with its cross-sections, is already available. Matched earthquake data will not be used. The minaret will be modeled, a horizontal thrust of 1% of its height will be applied, and the results of different types of clamps in the stair treads will be examined. Files I expect to receive upon completion: • ANSYS or ABAQUS model file with full solution settings • Graphs and tables showing displacement, shear force, and moment under horizontal thrust • A short but clear technical commentary section (clear enough for direct use in the thesis) When applying, sharing a few examples of similar structural modeling work from your past will suffice; a detailed proposal document is not necessary.
