Freelancer Requirement: 3D Footwear / Slider Product Designer We are building a customisable slider footwear brand and are looking for a skilled 3D product designer to create high-quality 3D models of sliders and straps for product visualisation and customisation. Project Scope Create realistic 3D models of sliders (single-band) Design multiple strap styles and strap variations Prepare models for real-time 3D customisation (web/app use) Support image placement on straps (for custom designs) Ensure models are production-accurate (based on real dimensions) Key Deliverables 3D slider model (sole + strap as separate parts) Multiple strap design variations Proper UV mapping for: Strap image uploads Colour changes Clean topology optimised for web (low–medium poly) Export formats suitable for web & app use (GLB / GLTF / FBX) Skills Required Experience in 3D footwear or product modelling Strong knowledge of: Blender / Maya / 3ds Max UV mapping & texture baking Understanding of real-world product proportions Ability to create symmetrical left & right models Experience with web-based 3D viewers or configurators is a plus Nice to Have Experience with customisation-based products Knowledge of PBR materials Understanding of manufacturing constraints Prior work with eCommerce 3D models Reference & Inputs Provided Physical product references Dimensions and measurements Design references for straps and soles Guidance on safe print areas for customisation Engagement Type Initial project-based work Possibility of long-term collaboration for new designs and variants
