I’m developing a research-grade quadruped that must operate in a mixed indoor-outdoor environment and handle both flat and uneven terrain. To reach the next milestone I need a full mechanical design package that translates my high-level concept into a production-ready CAD model and supporting analyses. Here’s what I expect as concrete deliverables: • Complete 3-D CAD of the full body, including leg geometry, joint placement, and link lengths with verified ranges of motion. • Chassis layout showing structural frame, actuator mounts, battery and compute module positions, all optimised for low centre of gravity and balanced front-rear load distribution. • Component placement drawings that accommodate sensors and allow future R&D swaps without major redesign. • Internal Routing and battery management system and comolete battery solution is also required • Basic structural validation: static load calculations, identification of stress points, and suggested material thicknesses or reinforcements to meet expected lab and field test loads. I normally work in Fusion 360 but STEP files are fine as long as assemblies are cleanly organised. A short report explaining the weight distribution, centre of mass calculations, and any design trade-offs will round out the package. If this scope fits your skill set in robotic mechanisms and structural analysis, I’d like to review examples of previous legged-robot or lightweight frame designs and agree on a realistic timeline and checkpoint schedule.
