Hi Robert M., Last week I did a very similar SketchUp job: imported a 2D PDF plan and built a full interior 3D model for a 3‑bed house. I’m confident I can handle this really well. Recent examples: - 2,400 sq ft family home: PDF to SketchUp Pro, detailed kitchen/baths, closets, stairs; basic exterior shell. - 1,150 sq ft apartment: accurate interiors, fixtures, and scenes for client review. i would like to know the below. 1) Do you have floor-to-floor heights, door/window sizes, and wall thickness on the PDF, or a separate spec sheet? 2) What level of interior detail do you expect: just walls/doors/windows, or also cabinets, appliances, sanitary, and basic materials? I think we should. - Use clean Tags/Components for rooms, doors, windows to optimise performance and make edits fast. - Set Scenes (plan/sections) and Styles so you can quickly review and export views without rework. Lets follow a plan like this. 1) I import the PDF, calibrate scale, and trace accurate walls, levels, and grids. 2) I place doors, windows, stairs; set correct heights and openings. 3) I model key interiors (kitchen, baths, closets), add basic materials and furniture placeholders. 4) I deliver the .skp with organised tags, scenes, and a quick walkthrough; revise once based on your notes.
