I am building an online store where visitors can dress a realistic 3D version of themselves before they buy. The core of the project is a Unity-based avatar system dedicated to virtual try-on of clothing. I need a complete pipeline that lets me import new garments quickly, drape them convincingly on differing body shapes, and render everything in real time inside a web-friendly Unity build. The avatar must support: • Shirts and tops • Pants and skirts • Dresses and suits • Shoes • Accessories • Bags What matters most is visual accuracy—fabric should bend and react naturally, sizes must adjust to body morphs, and textures need to look photorealistic under standard e-commerce lighting. You are free to choose the appropriate Unity render pipeline, cloth physics (e.g., Unity Cloth, Obi Cloth), and rigging approach as long as the final result stays performant in WebGL or an equivalent web deployment. Please deliver: 1. A Unity project with modular male and female base bodies, animation rig, and LODs. 2. A garment import template (Blend/FBX + texture setup) that I can reuse without touching the code. 3. A plug-and-play prefab or script package that exposes basic calls—loadAvatar, loadGarment, changeColor—for seamless embedding in the webshop front end. 4. Short written and video walkthrough that shows how to add a new garment and publish an updated build. Everything should be handed over ready to compile, with clear, commented C# where needed. If you have demos of previous clothing simulation or avatar work in Unity, linking them will help me gauge fit quickly.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ✅Hi there, hope you are doing well! I have successfully developed a Unity-based avatar system for a fashion e-commerce client that allowed users to try on realistic clothing with responsive fabric physics and customizable body morphs. The key to this project's success is ensuring high-fidelity cloth simulation paired with a modular import pipeline that keeps the workflow seamless and efficient. Approach: ⭕ Build modular male and female base avatars with animation rigs and LODs optimized for WebGL. ⭕ Design a reusable garment import template (Blend/FBX + textures) for quick asset addition without code edits. ⭕ Implement a plug-and-play prefab and C# script package with functions like loadAvatar, loadGarment, and changeColor for easy webshop integration. ⭕ Optimize cloth physics (Unity Cloth or Obi Cloth) for natural fabric behavior and performant real-time rendering. ⭕ Provide clear, commented code along with written and video tutorials for garment pipeline and deployment. ❓Could you specify the target device/browser specs and priorities between visual fidelity and performance? ❓Do you have preferred cloth physics or rendering pipelines in Unity? ❓Are there any existing garment assets or avatars to start with? I am confident in delivering a realistic, user-friendly virtual try-on system tailored to your e-commerce needs, ensuring smooth functionality and stunning visuals.<clientQuestion> Best regards, Nam

Hi, As a individual developer I can help in your project focusing on Unity avatar system development, garment import pipeline, cloth simulation, WebGL optimization, and related modules to fix, improve, and develop during this project. With my expertise in full-stack development and experience working with modern web technologies like Unity 3D, C#, WebGL, 3D rendering, animation rigging, FBX workflows, shader and texture optimization, and interactive frontend integration, I can build this quickly. I can create a modular virtual try-on system with reusable male and female avatars, realistic garment loading, body morph support, and simple API-style methods like loadAvatar, loadGarment, and changeColor for webshop integration. You can expect clear communication, fast turnaround, and a high-quality result that fits seamlessly into your existing workflow. Best regards, Juan

Realistic cloth behavior in a WebGL storefront is where most virtual try-on projects fail, and that’s exactly the pain I focus on solving. I’ve spent months getting garments to drape naturally across morphs while keeping builds fast and small. The best thing about me is I’ve worked on a very similar project recently. I delivered a Unity URP WebGL try-on with modular male/female bases, Addressables-based garment bundles, cloth tuned per-material, LODs and a prefab API for loadAvatar, loadGarment, changeColor plus documentation and a short video walkthrough. I understand the user flow: pick or upload body, apply morphs, select garments, tweak fit, then checkout. System architecture I propose is Unity URP, C# scripts, Addressables/AssetBundles, FBX/Blend import template, cloth (Unity Cloth or Obi) per-garment, server-hosted bundles and a lightweight JS bridge to the shop front end. I can save weeks because I reuse templates and production-ready import pipelines. Do you need measurement-driven sizing or just morph targets? Are paid plugins like Obi acceptable or must we stick to Unity Cloth? If that sounds good let’s chat or hop on a quick call. Regards Ali Zain!!

Hi there, The risk with a Unity-based virtual try-on isn't the 3D model—it’s the clipping and weight painting. If the garment doesn't react naturally to different body morphs (like a shirt "digging into" a larger chest or waist), the realism breaks instantly, and the customer won't trust the fit. I specialize in Unity 3D cloth simulation, and here is my strategy to build your "Elite" pipeline: ? The Strategy for Your Pipeline Dynamic Morphing: I’ll use a Skinned Mesh Renderer with custom BlendShapes. This ensures that when the avatar's body shape changes, the clothing scales and deforms proportionally without manual re-rigging. Fabric Realism: Depending on your performance needs, I’ll implement Obi Cloth or a highly optimized Vertex Shader for WebGL. This gives you that "natural bend" in dresses and suits while keeping the frame rate high for browser users. The "Plug-and-Play" API: I’ll build a clean C# controller with simple hooks (loadGarment, changeColor). This allows your web front end to communicate with the Unity build via JavaScript Essentials, making the shop integration seamless. The Result: A production-ready pipeline where you can drop a new FBX into a template and have it "drape" correctly on any body type in real-time. Delivery: Pipeline: Modular base bodies (Male/Female) + LODs. Automation: A "Garment Import Template" (Blender/FBX) for easy reuse. Support: Full C# source code + Video walkthrough for your team. I’ve spent years refining realistic character systems in Unity, specifically focusing on the intersection of photorealistic rendering and dynamic mesh deformation. Having integrated similar "digital twin" systems for apparel brands, I understand that the success of a virtual try-on experience hinges on the accuracy of cloth simulation and the seamlessness of the avatar generation process. My background in developing modular character creators ensures that your users won't just see a generic model, but a high-fidelity representation that builds immediate purchasing confidence through realistic physics and lighting. I have previously solved the specific challenge of mesh-clipping in multi-layered clothing, ensuring that the interaction between garments and the avatar body remains visually flawless even during complex animations. To achieve this, I will implement a robust mesh-swapping system using Unity’s Addressables for optimized asset loading and Skinned Mesh Renderers to ensure garments deform naturally with the avatar’s pose. I’ll leverage the Obi Cloth framework—or Unity’s built-in Cloth component—to simulate realistic fabric drape and weight, while utilizing high-resolution PBR textures and custom shaders to mimic specific textile properties like silk, leather, or denim. For the "realistic version of themselves" aspect, I can integrate a blendshape-driven morphing system or a third-party SDK like Avaturn to handle user-specific body measurements and facial mapping with minimal friction. Additionally, I will optimize the Universal Render Pipeline (URP) to ensure high-quality visual fidelity across web and mobile platforms. Are you planning to use photo-to-3D reconstruction for the avatars, or should we focus on a slider-based customization system for specific body dimensions? I’d also like to know if you have a preferred backend for hosting the 3D garment library to ensure performance remains fluid as your inventory grows. I’m open to a quick call or a deep-dive chat to align on the technical specs of the rendering pipeline and the user flow. Let me know if you'd like to see my previous work in real-time cloth simulation and avatar customization modules.
