...children's storybook featuring the main character who is an African Grey Parrot. The storybook is aimed at ages 6-12, so the artwork needs to be bright, colourful, and appealing to children. I prefer the illustration to be colourful. I want the backgrounds to have some realism but the characters to have a cute, cartoonish quality to them - to appeal to children. I quite like watercolour style. I want it to look more drawn/ painted than digital cartoons. So ideally I'd like the backgrounds to have a sense of realism to them. And the african animals characters to look more cartoonish i.e. large eyes and facial expressions to make them appear cute and appealing to children. See attached references.
