MTAG is a small not-for-profit community advocacy group that campaigns against the crazy number of trucks using residential streets in the City of Maribyrnong in Melbourne Australia. We want a visual on our web page - - that shows the number of trucks we experience each day in our city. We are thinking a counter would serve this purpose. The counter would start each year on 1 January and reset at the end of the year. We average 20,000 trucks per day so the counter would need to go up by 1 about every 4.2 seconds. Attached is a screen grab from our home page. It doesn't really matter where the counter sits on the page, we just want it to be prominent so probably nearer the top of the page for example. As for style, it can be quite simple, white numbers in black boxes.
