I am a chemical engineer with 23 years industrial experience, this experience being mainly at Procter & Gamble's Brussels Innovation Center (BIC) in Strombeek-Bever, Belgium, where I am currently employed. I also previously worked as a plant-based chemical engineer in the chemicals industry (Albright & Wilson) in the...I am a chemical engineer with 23 years industrial experience, this experience being mainly at Procter & Gamble's Brussels Innovation Center (BIC) in Strombeek-Bever, Belgium, where I am currently employed. I also previously worked as a plant-based chemical engineer in the chemicals industry (Albright & Wilson) in the UK for 3 years. I am a recognized expert in both production and packing of Fabric and Home Care (F&HC) products. In recent years I have led a portfolio of upstream technology innovation projects with business value of around $20MM/yr, and managed elements of the company's innovation strategies within the F&HC business sector. Some key achievements and projects during this time: - Successful design, project management, construction and startup of 2 new powder agglomeration units in the Middle East & Africa region. Capital value approx $25MM, project completed within 2 years. - Redesign and restructuring of the laundry powder making process to modularize and make formulation changes more efficient and meaningful. Worked closely with upstream process development team to ensure coordinated approach across process and engineering organizations. - Successful implementation of Platform Lifecycle Management framework for liquids packing lines. Definition of standard designs, documentation in industry-standard design management systems (Siemens PLM), and set up of work processes to support design maintenance globally. - Development of F&HC global lean innovation strategy. Created activities and structure to build capability to innovate FAST, including innovation challenges, hackathons and regular recognition of great examples. Created training materials and workshops to improve organization capability. - Execution of the first application of continuous QA automation in P&G. Development, installation and validation of cutting-edge process instrumentation to enable real time quality measurement and manual task elimination. I have strong technical passion and I am recognized in P&G as a technical expert in all I do. I have deep project management expertise as well as a good working knowledge of the full framework in which projects in the FMCG area are executed. This framework includes consumer research and testing, process development to meet consumer needs, conversion of process designs to engineering execution, quality assurance, HS&E and other regulatory requirements. I am a respected team leader in all I do, both in hierarchical teams and in flat organizations, where I am capable of influencing others and driving excellence. I especially love to work on data analysis and anything with a technical bias.
