The trade part seems strange. In the board game, was there some form of turn order when players were allowed to respond to offerings? You need to lock down resources during the trade phase since the accept/decline procedure is asynchroneus.

Yes, assuming that multiple trades and offers for the same goods are submitted at the same time, there is an internal "tie-breaker" for priority in which trades get completed/accepted (similar to the "census" in original version). However, this is handled by logic and is invisible to player, so not part of the UX/UI.

Is this a 3D, 2D or 2.5D game? It matters for the sculpting of the node entity.

      2D game, simple top-down-looking-at-the-tabletop view.

@SoftLope: I'm not concerned with the number of pages, just for the design to address the issues outlined in the documentation.

@OIjaMandic: as for visual design, yes, I'm only interested in workable wireframes that can be skinned/painted later. Detailed elaboration, wireframes and HCI models sounds about right. The layout/design for "tech" and "goods" can be flexible to fit the solutions.

@OljaMandic; h4xx0rz is a re-design of the "Advanced Civilization" tabletop game (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgameexpansion/177/advanced-civilization). Some minor aesthetic changes, a different thematic skin, and two huge changes: (1) simultaneous turns (requiring a lot of subsequent tweaks) and (2) a point-to-point map instead of an area map, which is why the map nodes are problematic.

I'm having problems finding anything about H4xx0rz tabletop game. To know how to play this game well would be crucial to solve UI UX for ipad. :)

Nice documentation. I am sure you're not asking for visual design but just want to be sure. Glancing through your documentation, few ideas already re your problems with tech tree popped out but I could describe solutions easily and that seems to easy. So, you're expecting just detailed elaboration, wireframes, HCI models maybe?
