Update, Refresh of Existing Corporate Logo

Looking to update our logo. Give it a modern look and representative of the services we offer. Residential & commercial electronic security system, home automation, CCTV & video systems, physical access control (Do not include these words in the logo)

The octagon shape is representative of the yard signs we place and I'd like to continue to incorporate the shape in some form in the logo.
I would like to continue using the same or similar color pallete.
I would like to change the font
At the bottom of my webpage you will see the logos of my branch offices. The new logo should be designed so that with minor alterations it could be re-branded with the name of my local branch offices.
Final logo will need to be in a vector format.

I am looking for a logo that incorporates an octagon shape somewhere but has a new and updated feel. Entries so far are too similar to the current logo.
