Contest Brief

I am after a 'photo real' illustration of the street front view of the proposed reception building for a new 'motel' we are building in the world famous Nimbin heritage town in Northern NSW, Australia. The illustration is to be used as part of a Development Application for the construction of the motel to the local Council and will confirm that our reception building will be the same style of building (1950's weatherboard and corrugated iron roofing) that the rest of the town is built with. I have attached: 1. an image of the building that is beside where we want to put the reception building (to show style) 2. the street front view of the image in 1. above and the new reception building from the street (drawn by the Architect). Our website, which we are using for information of the development for the Council is www.thecubes.co This shows the plan (look in 'ebook at the bottom of the 'home' page. Also google 'nimbin NSW' images and you will see the 'hippy' style of signage and the building style that we want to show in your illustration). The reception building is the same dimensions as a high ceiling container 40 ft long, 9 ft 6 in high and 8 ft deep. Looking at it from the front, the left half is the reception area with a reception counter fronting the street. The right side is a solid wall panel which can be used for 'hippy' style signage for 'thecubes'co'. Perhaps a biilboard above the footpath awning on the front of the building could make it look more in keeping with the rest of the street. This has to look realistic for council people to understand. let me understand this better. so you do have an illustration for the reception panel. what exactly is that you don`t like about it? the font stays? the shelves with the info material stay in the same design?

  The existing illustration doe not look like the existing fronts of Nimbi shops. Whilst the dimensions are correct I want to have corrugated iron roof above the footpath in front of the reception and the wood front to look more 'weatherboard" so that they match the look of the street. You can see what I mean by looking at the street.

  Hi Ahmed, some questions, 1, Have you looked at google nimbin streetscape images to get an idea of the sort of illustration I want. 2, If you google '80 Cullen Street Nimbin' you will see the building that is described as 'existing restaurant' in the plans shown in the 'ebook' on the index line of www.thecubes.co is the building we have to complement with the reception illustration I want you to do. 3, the illustration is to be seen by Council Aldermen and is to influence their decision that we are complying with the 'heritage' visual requirements of the streetscape, and 4, can you provide some images that show the sort of work I want done. i have searched actually too much about the nimbin. i have taken many images to make my work realistic. I have a little on the image 1. i have a question. can i change the color scheme of the Image and also the decoration such as tree and footpath tiles. Secondly i am just going to 80 Cullen Street. I will give you responses in approx. after one hour. and ..and i am not getting a button to upload the work towards what i am going but very soon it will be as an entry. i real want to go to nimbin.
