I need a simple GPS app, that logs a gps route and uploads it to an OPENGTS server when there's internet connection. It would be great if it could export to google maps/earth and could share the file by email.

Main functions/buttons:
START (open new storage file (date+[login to view URL]) start logging date, time, location, speed, course... and upload to OPENGTS in every minute if possible. If no internet connection available, then log and upload when there's connection again.)
STOP (upload all data if not uploaded yet, export to google maps/earth format to storage)
NEED TO BE ABLE TO RUN IN BACKGROUND with LOW battery usage!
EXPORT/SHARE (export to custom folder or send to email address)
SETTINGS: Username/password for OPENGTS

UPDATE!
IT TURNED OUT, THAT THERE'S A SOLUTION CALLED OPENGTS!
THE APPLICATION SHOUD SEND DATA TO OPENGTS, not to mysql.

Optional functions:
Be able to receive and show PUSH messages. (I don't know how it works.)
Bottom area of the screen - place for adverts. (fetched from an url)

The interface:
START and STOP button.
When started, show the status (eg. LOGGING), show the last successful OPENGTS upload.

Attached a sample of how the screen can be organized, but you can design any kind of interface. I'm open to any ideas!

First priority is Android, iOS is optional!

Hello Brucezz, I have been working with OpenGTS & GTS Enterprise for 3 years. You do realize that there are Android & iOS apps for this already? Are you looking for a working application or are you looking for a UI / layout design? What version ( i.e. 2.5.8) of OpenGTS are you using?

  From what I can tell, you do not have OpenGTS installed on a host yet, correct? If that is true then installing & configuring is not so much a contest as it is a project, contact me if you need OpenGTS installed, or have any questions regarding OpenGTS, Thanks John

I have updated the project. No MySQL connection needed, the location data should be sent to an OPENGTS server.
