Hi there Web Designers,

We're launching a new travel roundup type section in our travel related website. We have sketched up a basic layout for the page (see attached png image) but it looks unprofessional.

Please, help us to make it look good. Go ahead and do whatever is necessary inside the green border. Change colors, background patterns, shadows, borders, redesign any graphical elements, add own graphics, etc.

However, do not touch the area outside the green border. Also the images with the width of 300px must remain 300px wide. Try to make your redesigned content fit to the overall look of the size (areas outside the green border).

And while you are at it, feel free to have some laughs with the auto translated content. :-) The content will not be published in English, so we auto translated it in order to make it possible for you to better grasp the nature of various parts of the page.

Links at the topics this month box are links to the anchor points on the same page. The page will scroll into the correct position when user clicks on them.

No html coding is required. Send your contest entries as jpg/png -files.

Is it an option that you have just a teaser of the text on the page and then you would see the full body article on a different page?

  Texts are short announcements about various things. They may have links to external web pages (providing more/full information), but there won't be any additional text about the subject on the main site. So, there is no need for "Read more" -button, for example.

  Thank you for the design. It has good potential. Contest section perhaps is a bit too tall, it takes quite a bit space vertically. The design would probably benefit from reducing the height of contest section and maybe also finding a replacement symbol for the circles with numbers that would be more contest oriented.
