Kilpailun tehtävänanto

A poster-size image of The Parthenon abstracted from the attached image ("parthenon3") with only the building against a white background. Then the building itself colored in a bright, saturated child-like color scheme similar to the attached example ("IMG_1031"). The final image should be ready to upload and print via any commercial poster printing service (fedex, office depot, etc) and should retain the architectural precision and detail of the building as pictured. It may include background features if necessary / as appropriate but these should be minimal if present at all. Printing size will be between 20"x30" and 24"x36".

entry #3 is a great step forward in the direction mentioned in the first comment. The yellow/green contrast within each column is really a nice touch and would be a great aspect of the final piece. If you can use that concept but vary the overall color scheme more? So maybe leave one or two of the columns as is in #3 but make the others a different color palette? Also separate the base/stairs and top/frieze to highlight that distinct as well? Similar to the contrast between letters in the color palette image example of the letters in the attached IMG? I'm not precisely sure how to describe what I'm asking for, but this is a great next step toward the aim mentioned in the comment above. The way the color contrast from green to yellow retains the details of each column, the freize, the stairs is great. But more variation across the different "letters" (each column, etc) could further highlight the gross mathematical aspects of the building

This is a great start. Let me clarify the aim: to give the toddlers a visual experience where the image itself carries the meaning to be learned, rather than being symbols (like words or numbers or animals etc) which they may not understand and likely cannot meaningfully map to whatever the symbols are meant to convey information about. So for this image, it is the mathematical precision of the building which is inherent in the image alone. The image alone conveys the value, that of precise mathematical relationships in a visual space. So for the poster to achieve that aim, the coloring must highlight the architecture which displays that mathematical precision, using the colors to distinguish columns from base from capitals and frieze. In this first entry by trdigitalcontact the color blurs the precision of those architectural relationships instead of highlighting them.
