     I like your style a lot, though it seems a bit fantastic for the game we're developing now.

     It's not usually a good idea to choose a winner so early as you miss the chance of getting much better artists, who tend to submit towards the end because they actually take their time perfecting their work:P There were 4 days left to the contest so I'm pretty sure you could have had alot more superior work to choose from had you waited.

     It was our first contest, so we were newbies and we weren't expecting such a high quality.

  I'm curious, you state you want the characters in Adobe Illustrator or Encapsulated PostScript file formats but you are going to use them in a Flash game, correct? Why is it not OK to create the characters in Flash and deliver them as an .FLA? Of course they can be exported from Flash as an .AI but I was just wondering if there was a specific reason why FLA was not an acceptable file format..

     Hi Ryannore,
     
     You're right; we preferred characters in Flash format but Freelancer decides unilaterally the image format when you create a contest (and the chose EPS/AI); we were as surprised as you when we saw it.

  This game intends to be serious, so a "serious look" is a must.
  
  As for style, we initially have preference for the kind of graphics we've given as examples (or the illustration presented by doarnora).
  
  Our final goal is to have high quality graphics for our game.
  
  We have added more example images of the kind of graphics we're looking for: detailed look and a 3/4 view.
