Contest Brief

I've just finished compiling a book of poetry I had written for the love of my life. Though we're not together anymore I've written this hoping to recapture her. It isn't in my nature to give up, even when things look really grim.

Down to business:

What I'm looking for is someone to design for me a cover for this book. The contest prize isn't much - but it's honestly more than what I can currently afford and offer.

I'm hoping to possibly place my book in front of publishers or even publish it myself... But only after I hand the book to the one it was written for..

If this book succeeds, even in the slightest, I will recommission the artist to create another cover and will be more than happy to share a piece of the royalties accrued from the original publication.

Colours: Green, White, Brown -- Earth tones... Or whatever. I'm not picky, seriously. If it looks good, it looks good!

The book is to be published in a 5" x 8" format
The image should be 300DPI MINIMUM as this will be PRINTED.

Font style: Doesn't really matter. There are thousands of fonts out there, so choose at your discretion.

The cover should reflect both the story and the artist's ability to convey emotion through their art.

I will be hosting a poll soon in order to make my final decision.

You've all got different tastes and styles - and I wish to see each artist incorporate a piece of their own imaginative works into the cover.
