The company is introducing a new social web site focusing on respective real estate markets across the globe. Since social media is the primary activity, it needs to project the company as 'new', 'vibrant and 'edgy'.

Company name: OpenDorz

Although it will present properties for sale (by auction) it will also enable all those active in the real estate market to interact through social media in real time.

The company will be launched next month so timings are important.

A bonus will be awarded if the winning design is considered 'outstanding' by the company team members.

I'm getting entries that look like 'cartoons' - far too witty! Memorable - yes but cartoon - no.

To give further guidance, the logo needs to be memorable and a bit 'witty' - 'Go Daddy' (www.godaddy.com) , the domain registrar is a good example.

It doesn't need to be complicated - simple that stays in the mind. I would suggest separate symbol and title as opposed to shaping the 2 together.

There are no hard guidelines as regards colour schemes, but the layout should either incorporate the brand title or more likely brand symbol with title.
