Retro Logo - Imagine if smartphones and home computers were being sold in the 50's, what would the logo look like? I've attached a few images (retro1, retro2, retro3) of plumbers and furnace logos to give you an idea of what I mean when I say retro.

I've attached another logo type (howies1 - howies8) that is round to show you how I think the logo could be built. Round logo, name on top, slogan on bottom and character inside the circle. Now, the character himself does not have to be placed inside the circle to be picked as a winner as you can see in the included samples, just adding details to help you get inside my mind. I like this type of logo, but it is not a must - ideally you will create something unique...

I want a character / mascot type logo that is fun, amusing, eye catching but still conveys a professional image.

Must be some kind of screen (computer screen, touch screen, iPad screen, Smartphone screen, you know a digital screen with a face of some kind. Face doesn't have to be on the screen, that's where you use your creative juices to impress me with your idea.

Important details: Computer, Smartphone and Electronic Retail Store is where this logo will be used. Imagine it on the sign above the door, on my business card, letterhead, vehicle wrap. Kids will want to go to the store with the cool computer guy and parents won't be turned off because it looks goofy or silly.

HOW TO DRAMATICALLY IMPROVE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING
If your logo looks like it could be turned into a cool toy I can sell in the store, your odds of winning the contest will vastly increase. My 8 year old kid will be the sole judge of the 'cool toy' factor and if you get a "I must have this" rating, a BONUS cash prize will be paid to the winner!

When the contest started I was wondering where all the entries were?!? Now with just over an hour to go they are all coming in like crazy... guess the saying is true, be careful what you wish for.

Now, I am thrilled with all these great entries, making the job a lot harder to pick a winner. What a talented bunch you freelancers are, that's for sure...

I just remember something that could be critical in the logo design. As you can see my avatar currently shows my current mascot but he is a CRT monitor and that's outdated nor do I like the glasses.

Feel free to just give my existing 'mascot' an updated look...
