Contest Brief

I am starting a land surveying company (called geodetic engineering in some countries) and need a logo design. The text needs to be 'Calibre' (first line) and 'Land Survey Consultants' (second line) as shown in the example attached.
I hope to work for other professional engineers, local government and corporations so it needs to have a corporate professional look.
I have attached an idea/concept that I like which needs to be enhanced. Feel free to modify any part of this concept or even suggest something better altogether if you think you have a good idea.
I would like a shade of blue to be used but am open for any suggestions for other complimentary colors.

I want to use this for letterheads, business cards, web design etc so need all the necessary files to be delivered for this.
