Kilpailun tehtävänanto

I am working with a non profit organization that focuses on helping people get low cost prosthesis. Recently they have ventured into printing prosthesis to lower the cost. However one area where they still lack experience is designing the socket (the interface between the prosthesis and the patients limb), in order to make it comfortable and also personalized (in fit and form) to the patient.
I am currently working on a workflow pipeline that will be easy to follow and replicate for different applications were 3D scanning, modeling and printing can yield a low cost prosthesis socket.
To make this easier to follow I would like to design an infographic with the phases required for scanning, modeling, fixing and printing the socket.
During this contest we will be focusing on a small percentage of the overall project, which is the design of the overview portion of the infographic. Whoever presents the best design not only will win the contest but also be asked to work on the final project.
The idea is to create small graphical representation for the different phases.
Please pay attention to the attached Powerpoint Summary, and to the very rough draft of how the final infographic should look.

“I liked your initial work, and it showed promise. However seen as that was the only thing submitted I will have to now go to projects and bid out the creation of the full infographic. Still thanks for your work.”

I do understand that it might seem like a big task, so any entry is appreciated, and all will be considered. however those designs that are able to incorporate more of the full idea (even in wire frame and placeholders) stand a better chance of being selected.

The scope of the work is to create the overview, and the best result would get to the remaining part. The explanation for the remaining second phase is so that the preliminary design of the the first can later be expanded. Th whole project is for the creation of this inforgraphic plus 3 more. But before bidding out and paying for the 3, we decided to run a competition on the design of the overview, so we could choose who we would want to work with. That being said entries that are more complete than others or that go beyond just doing the overview have a better chance of then winning not only this competition but the job of finishing the remaining infographics.

I have added more detailed information of how the infographic should look, as well as explanation on how the images should be and the information on each one of the phases. Please review it and submit your proposal. both the quality of the entries and the fullness of the proposal will be used to decide the winner.

There is no need for you to use the same images, and I would recommend you make your own. They don't need to be detailed (actually simplistic designs will be appreciated more, as they are easier to understand, and make it easier for the media to be used in both print and digital formats)

    1. The camera and scanner are the images for gathering patient data, 2.the hammer and screw driver are for fixing the data, 3. the socket with the arrows is for socket creation or socket design 4. the magnifying glass is for the pre-print check 5. the nozzle and filament is for printing the socket and 6. the socket with tools around it is for pos processing the socket.
