I require an illustrator for a fully illustrated cocktail book. This project is to find an illustrator to work with on the final project. The final project will involve full design.

I am looking to create a remarkable book. A cocktail book which is fully illustrated. I want to create a leather bound book, which has illustrations throughout. The theme for the book is cocktailmagic so I would like a wizard who can create the cocktail recipes in a puff of smoke and I was thinking of pages designed to look like old parchment. Other than that I have no constraints, allowing your imagination to explore this concept fully.

You will be required to submit the following three pages
- general design of a standard page
- design for a page involving a wizard
- design for a chapter start page

All pages except the chapter start page should contain one or two cocktail recipes. It doesn't matter what recipe you use. A simple Google search should provide you with a recipe to include. I am willing to consider all artworks on this theme - cartoon, watercolours, mystical, everything.

A number of years ago I created a cocktail book just for whisky cocktails. I sold a few hundred. I didn’t make any money but it didn’t cost me anything either. I was happy with it. However, I would now like to create a book for all the spirits. There are a number of aspects which make this book unique from other cocktail books on the market. However, this time I would like to develop something truly remarkable.
I bought the domain cocktailmagic.com and had a wizard for my logo. In the book you get the recipes and ‘Magic Tips’. These ‘Magic Tips’ tell you a wide variety of different things, from how the cocktail was created to special techniques you can do to make it something different.
I would like to create a book which contains the cocktails, the special tips but which has a lovely graphic theme running through it. I want to create a book which is remarkable, not just because it presents a new way in creating cocktails, but because its design is stunning

  Hi. Things related to fantasy would be good. Wizards, dragons, that kind of thing. I like the idea of cocktailmagic, a wizard, making the book big, leather bound, like a wizard spell book. Parchment paper, ye olde wolrde feel to it. Notes scrawled in the margins, Harry Potter type theme. But not too over the top. Not something that only fantasy people would be interested in. Really just a play on the theme of cocktailmagic.

  Hi. I hadn't thought of a preferred style as there is nothing in the market at the moment like this, fully illustrated. I also think that remarkable artwork, irrespective of the style, is more important. I think that there is a certain appeal to both styles and that standout artwork is the key factor. As I don't have a preconceived idea, then it allows you to input in the style you think suits you. Does that help?

  Hi. The book is targeted at people who want something more than just a cocktail book. Its a bit like a coffee table book I suppose but a useful one. I want the illustrations to give the book a real presence, and which people will want to read through as I will be adding fascinating facts and stories about the book and hopefully your illustrations will draw people in through the detail of the book
