Hello to all designers and pros.
We are redesigning the icons for our software suite which has 4 separate software components. These Icons need to be easily discernible from one another but speak the same language,
Since our software is marketed directly and also as a white-label solution, the icons shouldn't feature brand logos and things that we'll have to change when tailoring a custom white-label software to our clients.
so, to get started I'll give you an idea about our system and its components:
Our system is a display network management system that manages content on displays, video walls etc.
The four components needing icons are:
1. The composer/editor - the main management interface that creates, edits and plays display layouts. It's a little like a video editing software that allows you to set the sizes and positions of multiple video windows that are than played on the large display screens. The name BTW is Perception Composer.
2. The server (Perception Server) - is basically a background software that inly has a login interface and the icon which appears in the task bar and trey.
It basically drives the display or displays.
3. Perception SimpleRemote - This components is a simple button remote control unit that changes between all the display layouts or presets designed in the composer software.
4. Perception COMM - this is basically an interface within the composer that needs it's own icon. it mainly handles connections and IP user rights.
That's pretty much it.
Looking forward to your awesome ideas.
