I need some Graphic Design for Risk Control Dials emulating Automotive Displays

Contest Brief

I am trying to explain the use of a risk management system with a metaphor to the electronic control units used in an automobile. I would like dashboard dials to be recast as control dials for risk concepts. I have set it out in the attached .pdf ... very rough idea but should be enough for an imaginative designer to adapt and improve. Will answer any questions and extend the idea in any direction as long as the analogy between monitoring portfolio risk and monitoring car performance is preserved.

Employer Feedback

“Kotori did a great job refining my initial brief; implementing fine adjustments and other ideas; and completing an attractive design that was not envisaged at the beginning of the project.”

    Hi Drycrushader. Forgot to mention ... dials probably shouldn't overlap. Can the arrows point to VAR= minus 5; ES= minus 10; SDEV= 15; SKEW= minus 1; KURT= 5; MVAR= minus 7; MES= minus 12.

Hi drycrushader! Saw your entry. That's the idea! Some corrections: the SKEW dial is also part of the NON-NORMAL gauges (red). The SDEV dial is used in both clusters - Normal and Non-Normal ... maybe the RHS half of the dial could be red? Can I give you some specific numbers for each dial that the arrows can point to? I note that you have changed the range values from the ones I set out .... problem is some of the numbers on your gauge cannot be reached ... Also Can I add IRISKONLINE somewhere on the panel like a "brand name".

On reflection, I don't want to go to an app at this point. The real purpose is to design an 'instrument panel' that looks like it could be in a car or plane as an image that I can use in my blog. At a later stage, I might take the idea further with active output etc. For now, it's simply an attractive instrument panel that I seek - no live feeds or anything exotic.
