Contest Brief

This project requires you to unleash your love of cars, racing and motoring to improve upon our existing design (shown below) by using your own creative powers!

-- Criteria --

We’d like you to use the design shown above as a template for you to work upon, this means building upon the racing inspired theme of the image attached below.

Laguna Seca is a world famous racetrack in California which features one of the worlds most challenging corners - the ‘Corkscrew’ - a 3 storey drop featuring a terrifying blind crest and apex combination, a pair of corners designed to separate the men from the boys!

We’re looking for designs that are:

- Uncomplicated and clean
- Eye-catching
- Well proportioned and could be applied to items like:
- T Shirts
- Post Cards
- Stickers
- Use negative space (designs which blend in with their background colours, rather than sit on top of them)
- Interesting use of typography/ fonts
- Colour contrasts
- Carry the vintage car + racing theme
- You can choose to work with the existing graphics, or create something entirely new

Basically, we want you to think ‘Would Steve McQueen wear this?’ when designing!

-- Requirements --

- Required: ‘Laguna Seca’ words
- Required: Using the circled number ‘19’ can be improved by looking at the numbering on classic racing cars for ideas
- Optional: 'Corkscrew Challenge' words
- All IP rights for the winning design will transfer to the project owner once the project is completed

- 2 coloured versions (background colour to be of your choosing from the colour chart attached)
- 1 black and white version

Deliverable File Formats:

All 3 designs must be delivered in:
- AI file (vector format)
- PNG file
