I need a game board designed for a post apocalyptic themed game. The game mechanics allows players to move across the board in any direction in order to make it to one of the 6 Colonies. Once in one of the 6 colonies players can attempt to build items for the colonies. While moving along the areas from one colony to another players can lay chips down to own the spaces they move across. I am really looking for quality mock-ups that I can move forward with later. I attached a copy of my current board (My_Current_Board.png) and some examples of boards that I really like. I want someone to show me they can take my designs to the next level. The board needs to be about 20" by 30" in size. There needs to be roughly 50 -70 space without straight line paths. There also should be 6 areas (Colonies) that are particular areas for players move toward to use their resources to build items. (This should all be clear from the attachment below "My Current Board") I really like the colors and style of landmass in the attached file called Great_Board_Example6. There are also some other boards that have incredible designs that I like to get some inspiration from! Have fun!

If people need more time to submit a design to show us what you are capable of we can extend the contest time. But I don't want to extend it if there are no options to choose from, because it cost me money to extend a project. Thanks!

Agree, the budget is too low. I've worked on more than 10 board game projects before. Working on the board is very time-consuming, considering its size.

  I understand your concern here UmeSake. We are not looking for a final design on this contest. I am looking to see what freelancer are able to do, and I want to hire the project winner to finish the Game Board Design for much more than $40. I just don't want to hire somebody unless we can see what are capable of contributing. Thanks for your interest.

Hello all and thanks for your input! At this point, I am actually not trying to have a full game board designed. Our team has been working on this concept for a year and a half and we are trying to launch at the beginning of the next year. But we are stuck on the board design and are looking to see what kind of graphics other freelancers could submit. As far as the actual competition, we are mainly looking for board background graphics, and not a final board. Once we have background graphics, we are looking to either hire that freelancer to add the the mechanics onto the board or hire them to provide more detailed graphics over which we will lay the game mechanics. i can create this for you. so you are using hexagon grid for object movements right..what is your game engine you are using. i am worked with unity 3d, cocos2d, cry engine and also with udk.. so if you want i can do it in 3d orthographic view and please let me know the margins of map and do you wan a seamless map or you're going to put black solid to boundaries.

Your amount is very less. I can create the Map in 3D if you are willing to increase the amount. I have won three contests here and also made a board game of my own. I am also creating a similar bird view game maps for another client which can be put on a board game.

Increase the price to say about $100 and I am in.
