The due date is close; I’m still not sure what to name my daughter. My father gave me a first name is also the last name of a famous scientist (more specifically a physicist). I’d like to do that too for my daughter. The problem is that all the names that I can come up with sound all too masculine. So I’m here to pick the brain of all the geniuses out there. Can you please find me a baby girl name with a scientific meaning behind it that actually sounds feminine? It doesn’t have to be the last name of whomever, but do try not to suggest a name others may make fun off. E.g. I once thought of using the name Decibel, and then friends mocked me saying that I’ve just cursed myself of having a noisy daughter.
We found these names too commonly seen:
Theresa, Rosalind, Marie, Curie, Lyra, Luna, Singularity, Volta, Halley, Joule, Ester, Curie, Aurora, Rosa, Rosie, Mary, Aurora, Nova, Alicia, Mira, Polynoma, Vega, Ampere, Violet, Stella, Polaris, Bell
We just did like the sounding of these names:
avanti, anu, amu, Raysha, Agnes, Arber, Muon, Becquerel, Agora, Theorima, Andromeda, Hypatia, Orion,
We dislike names that had appeared in popular movies:
Bellatrix, Nebula, Cassiopeia
