Contest Brief

I have a very big excel file which contains 147000 rows and 900 columns which is sorted by year and ID. Because I have merged this file from 12 other files (different periods) I want a VBA code which for every blank cell (or 0) to lookup on the following rows and in case the id (first column) is the same and there is a value in the relevant cell to retrieve it.
At the end there should be another subroutine to remove duplicate records.

      I have downloaded your sample. But the requirement description is not very clear. Can you please provide an example of what yo are expecting ? Let say for companyname (A1)..we filter to see only TEST1...on the filtered values we have many blank cell...let's say the 1st blank cell i found is cell E10...based on that looked on row no 10. Till this part it is clear. Now you said "in case the id (first column) is the same" this. ID means which column ? i am assuming that it will be TEST1 as this is the 1st column... and then tell me in order to validate, that 1column is same..with what should i compare.. to understand if it is same or different ??     Hi, I need a clarification here. You have stated that "to lookup on the following rows". In case a blank cell is arrived at row 25, then the value in first column needs to be looked up in Row 26 onwards and NOT in any of the previous rows (from 1 to 24 here)?
