Design logo and theme colors for a company named Artikel104 (Dutch for 'Article 104').

Company profile
Artikel104 is an online publishing company focused on the online publication of information, news and documentation related to Tax Law in the Netherlands. It provides in tax-professional oriented publications that are hands-on, detailed and easy to read. In addition, the company provides a platform for professional speakers and has an academy side (for both students and professionals). The company name originates from article 104 of the Dutch constitution, which says that taxes may only be levied by law of parliament (i.e. taxation must be based of the law of parliament).

Assignment details
The assignment is to design the logo for Artikel104 (or Artikel 104) and theme colors for the company.

The logo will be displayed on the website and powerpoint, pdf and video files. The logo may include the text 'Artikel 104', or the text may be position next or under the logo. A simple and recognizable logo is strongly preferred. It is not required that the logo brings up affiliation with the business, but of course it is welcome. The business affiliates to: taxation, law, books, academy, balance (between taxation and law), court etc.

Since much of the material published by Artikel104 is designed for extensive reading, the theme colors / styles should adhere to this. This means that the text color should be a grey/black tint and the background should be a tint of white but not bright white (research shows that bright white to black text doesn't read comfortable), and that the font (size, style etc) choice should be easy to read.

The theme colors and style should also decide the color and style for 'plain text', 'chapter title', 'paragraph title', 'menu text', 'line and button color(s)', etc. Not that each should have a different color, but the assignment should also make clear which color should be used for the respective text. Text style should address at least (font, size, shadow, etc) for each.

Needless to say that the colors and styles must be in balance with the color(s) and style used in the logo.

A rejection is not based on the fact that the logo didn't meet our criteria. It just means that we prefer others over that one and makes it easier for us to pick the final one.
