Slidell Youth Soccer Club - [login to view URL] is an organization looking to update the brand. The mission of the organization is
To build teamwork and sportsmanship. To promote the sport of soccer in order to develop our players so that they can be the best they can be. To provide a fun family experience while they are here at our Club.
We are interested in highlighting our area Slidell, LA in this branding. Slidell is north of Lake Pontchartrain and New Orleans. Slidell is "North of your expectations" . It is known for great athletes, strong families, great public education, safe and beautiful city, it is highlighted by our beautiful Rivers, Bayous and Lakes and its diverse people. It is located in St. Tammany Parish. There are areas that are more wealthy, however we believe the diversity and qualities mentioned above set us apart.
Youth soccer has been dominated by pro teams buying local club names and there is a strong movement of getting rid of the local identity. For example, in nearby New Orleans, the Chicago Fire just bought the rights to the club team there. The club calls themselves Chicago Fire, even though they are from New Orleans. Some have changed the name to LA Fire. SYSC does not want to do that. We see the need to update our brand, but highlight that we are proud to be who we are. Historically, our colors have been hunter green and white because those were the colors of Slidell High. We currently have 4 high schools in the area. Salmen High is known for great athletic program, Northshore High is know for high academic achievement, with a great soccer program, Pope John Paul High is know for a great soccer program with high catholic values, and Slidell High is a blend of all of the above.
We are looking for corporate branding, so that locals become proud, and that outsiders will know that we are special.
More specifically we are looking for a Club Badge to place on all of our uniforms, a logo, a tagline, and suggested colors.
