Contest Brief

I am looking for a logo design for a website. The name of the website is MycoMap. The primary utility of the site allows users to upload photos of mushrooms that they have found and the reports are listed on a Google Map interface.

The site will be used by both amateurs and scientists, so it should have a clean, professional look. The logo should incorporate a map marker design that will eventually be used on the map interface. It does not have to be a mushroom, but that would be one route to take. The marker should look clean overlayed on a Google Map interface. Submissions involving cartoony, multicolored mushrooms with dots will not be considered. The logo will be used in the website header as well as for the associated mobile application. Vector and JPG, and font used as deliverables.

    Dear Contest holder, do you mean that you are directly using the logo of the company to put into the google map interface ?
    If it is, the logo should be clean and obvious enough to represent the mushroom, else it will be quite messy when it is on the map interface.
    Hope this make sense , what do you think ?
    If i misunderstand your meaning, please correct me.
