INTRO
Hello all you freelancers with way more design talent and skills than me. I am the owner of a fitness products store. All the products are take home exercise equipment such as: ab wheels, pull-up bars, yoga balls, resistance bands, hand weights. etc. To me, these are not just exercise products; they are an investment consumers make in themselves. I am not selling the products, I am selling the benefits that come with those products. This is what my company stands for and I am creating a brand to reflect that.

CONTEST
I need packaging designed for several products and I don't want to just hire one artist without being able to see other talent. So to determine who will design all the product packaging, I am hosting this contest for just one product. I have chosen my ab wheel to use for this contest. The ab wheel is currently in a generic package. All my products are sold at a storefront so the packaging has to be awesome!

MY VISION
The company colors are black and metallic silver so I would like to make those the main colors. I really admire the marketing of Steve Jobs and Apple products. The packaging doesn't have a lot of flashy advertising. It is very sleek, simple, and sexy. What I do NOT want: Catchy slogans ("Get Ripped Fast", "Get a six pack in weeks", etc), fitness models.

THE ARTIST
I am looking for someone with a marketing mindset and understands the buying behaviors of consumers. Someone with experience in retail packaging design and understands what the packaging needs to display and what is not necessary. I would prefer someone that has the ability to manufacture and print the packaging or that has solid connections with someone that does. The United States has a lot of designers but the cost of manufacturing is unattainable for a small business. If applicable: please provide a cost to manufacture/print, and lead time for 200 ab wheel boxes.
