I need someone to design a 1 page app user interface for me. The app is a "reader" for viewing webinars that have been transcribed into text.
What's special about this reader is that it syncs the transcribed words with the slides that appeared when the words were originally spoken. What normally happens is that you have the slides without the transcript, or you've got the transcript without the slides. With this reader you have both, which is as good as viewing the original webinar.
So the way the reader will work is that the screen is split, with part of it showing the slides and part of it showing the transcription text. The core functionality is that as you scroll down the text, the slides scroll too so that they stay synced to the words. The same thing happens if you scroll the slides. They're "locked."
That "synced scrolling" is the core functionality of the app, but in addition to that, I'd like some other features.
First, I'd like the ability to adjust how the screen is split between the words and the slides...half and half, 1/3 and 2/3, etc. I'd like the user to be able to adjust it on the fly with a simple motion. This can happen all the way, so that you're only looking at slides or only looking at words. So the view needs to be very dynamic, with the UI to somehow allow for it.
The other small thing I'd like is if the user wants to change the size of the text, he should be able to do that.
In the end, I'd like to use responsive design so that the reader app can dynamically fit onto any sized screen, like an ipad or a mobile phone...so that's also why it's important that the user can adjust the text/slide split dynamically to fit any size screen. So I'd like to see some UI mockups that show what it would look like on an ipad and a mobile phone, in addition to a laptop.
“Loved working with him. He's responsiveness and his UI/UX expertise is head and shoulders above the rest. ”
