I want our current logo for our private transportation company re-designed. We have trucking lanes throughout California, Arizona, Colorado and Oregon. We primarily haul agricultural commodities like fertilizer. We will eventually use this logo to help launch our brand in the for-hire transportation market. I think our current logo us neat but it is very busy when printed on tee shirts and other small marketing materials. We used to have just a word mark with the name arching as depicted on the back of the truck.
I'd like to see different color variations of proposed logo. We do like high contrast and tend to like the color orange.

  Does FedEx use an image of a vehicle? Does the Bank of America have a picture of a bank? Does MacDonalds include a burger in their logo? If necessary, a line of text on business cards or industry specific imagery on a website will associate the brand/identity with the service it provides. If in the future, this company chooses to transport goods by air then the logo/brand would look a little out of context on the side of an aircraft with the image of a truck. Effective brand identities should be transferrable to any service clients choose to supply in the future. The brand should convey a message, an idea, the principles of the business. This is where more in-depth feedback from clients is essential.
