  For the mascots, instead of the superhero outfit you can just leave them with a cape.

  For the mascots: Try to make the mascots look more cartoonish like Reddit's Alien (www.reddit.com). It's prerty simple, make two little mascots, and colored.. Like a Golden Retriever and a white/black/brown cat or something. Make them the almost the same size (Dog slightly bigger than the cat) and make them so they fit nicely next to the logo (to the left side).
