Contest Brief

Hello! We are looking for creative revisions to our existing logo designs (see attachments). The attached logo samples should provide a general direction to the design style we are seeking (retro, vintage, mix of feminine and masculine) but also want to lean towards a "minimalist" design powered by the name and font, not a bunch of frills, shapes, objects or distractions.

Final logo design will need to have the following capabilities:

1. Look good on building signage which will be a large, round sign (about 5 feet across)
2. Have options for a light and dark background (white/black)
3. Have a simplified version for use on a website header.

Plenty of logos to review but I'm seeing a general trend of them being overly "busy" with lots of ornate design elements which distract from the company name. Really want to see versions that are quite clean, simple and even minimalist in design. "Charlotte & Rex" should be the focal point and anything else is just complimentary.

Clarifying that we are not looking for a completely new design. We are looking for a makeover and improvement to the existing logo versions that I attached. They can vary from that based on the designers ideas and vision but should not completely stray from that general look/feel. Thank you.

  The examples I posted are very close to what we are looking for on the signage but in need of polish and some creativity. A minimalist version of just he name (horizontal) in same font/style would also be appreciated for use on website and PR.
