1. Logo Design is to be abstract. Don't make it too literal or cheesy.
2. It needs to be smart, clean and easy to understand. It will be used by professionals, not a craft shop.
3. "OPV" should be used by itself without the need to use "Online Partner Visa" with OPV
4. OPV helps you get your Visa. It is an online process that leads to you getting your visa
5. We would like the logo to be clever, smart and innovative in that we use the letters to mean something
6. Different tag-lines will be used with the logo. For example: "One step at a time", "Partner migration made easy"
7. In short, we are looking for a typographical treatment of the "OPV" letters. Please refer to the example provided:

8. Colour Scheme is to be translucent blues and greens (see examples provided)

9. It is to be a 2 D Logo not a 3 D Logo
10 . The use of the "V" and the "tick" has been well received by the focus groups

What the Focus Groups has rejected (i.e. what we don't want)
1. No use of Red
2. No use of commonly used clip art without significant modification/design
3. No box design
4. Avoid literal use of people symbols/clip art (Symbolic people are ok)
Who is your target audience?
Migration agents and their clients who are seeking to sponsor their partner to Australia.
What type of product or service do you offer?
An online service that helps someone through the process of applying for an Australian partner visa. The users follow a guided, step-by-step process, which gives feedback on the progress and strength of their application and allows them to book meetings and request online advice from their migration agent.
What is your unique selling point?
Our service tells the user exactly what they need to do to complete a partner visa application, via a set of easy to follow steps. It also rates the strength of the evidence they submitted, so the user gets the best possible chance of success. The site also facilitates better communication between users and their migration agents, via a set of structured meetings, which saves time for both parties and also means the migration agents can offer a better level of service.

The should logo should try to give the impression that we are:
Trustworthy, transparent, efficient, reliable, approachable.
Do not make it too specific to Australia.
Suggestions:
Please note that people will use our site because they are trying to be with their partner /spouse - that is, two people trying to be together. Eg. two elements in the logo trying to reach out to each other, trying to be together.
Also our site is about following a set of steps to reach the goal.. which is being together with your partner. So that is another idea for the logo.
