We are designing a strategy card-game called "Nubian Kings" set in the medieval African kingdoms of Egypt, Nubia and Ethiopia. We need graphic design for (a) the logo for the back of each 2.5 by 3.6 inch card; (b) the logo for the game box itself; and (c) the logo for the website. If appropriate, the same logo may be used in all three cases.

The logo must include the words “Nubian Kings” in its design. For the text, consider using a font or style similar to the Antinoou Coptic font (http://www.evertype.com/fonts/coptic/), although this is not necessary for a winning design.

The front side of the cards will most likely use a template based on the Game Card Design Kit at http://graphicriver.net/item/game-cards-design-kit/1223481. When possible, the images on the cards will be based on paintings of medieval Nubian kings and other historical figures. See the examples posted online at: http://www.nubiankings.net/pics/.

Ideally, the winning design will be compatible with the colors and textures of the Game Card Design Kit, and may also include visual elements – e.g. headgear or jewelry or other symbols – from the paintings of medieval Nubian kings.

Hi everyone - thanks for your posts. If you are thinking about revising your entries or adding new entries, please keep in mind that this is a game set in medieval Africa (Egypt, Ethiopia, Nubia). The submissions I have been ranking low are those that seem too "modern" or do not incorporate any elements that seem medieval or African. The submissions I have been ranking high look and feel "medieval" and make deliberate use of African imagery. I'd love to see more submissions like those. Thanks.
