Contest Brief
We are in the process of developing an educational portal and will be launching it in phases in the different countries in Asia. The website will cover education in the broadest sense of the word - it will centered around The 8 Multiple Intelligence of Howard Gardner. It suggests that the traditional notion of intelligence, based on I.Q. testing, is far too limited. Instead, Dr Gardner proposes eight different intelligences to account for a broader range of human potential in children and adults. The 8 intelligences are:
• Linguistic intelligence ("word smart")
• Logical-mathematical intelligence ("number/reasoning smart")
• Spatial intelligence ("picture smart")
• Bodily-Kinesthetic intelligence ("body smart")
• Musical intelligence ("music smart")
• Interpersonal intelligence ("people smart")
• Intrapersonal intelligence ("self smart")
• Naturalist intelligence ("nature smart")
The logo will be used in multi-country, so it must be a graphic that can transcend countries of different languages. The website will have a different name for unique countries such as China, Korea and Japan, but the logo will be the same. While our main targets are the Asian countries, it is possible that we will go beyond Asia in the future.
Our website aims to help learners realize their potential. Everyone is talented in at least 3-4 of the Multiple Intelligences, and we help learners discover their talents. These should be reflected in our logo. Our website support learners through dynamic teacher/school search and provision of resources.

You can also submit LOGOs that show SELF ACTUALISATION. Self actualization can be seen as similar to words and concepts such as self discovery, self reflection, self realisation and self exploration.

Hi, thank you all of you for your submissions. I must clarify that if you are just submitting a logo in the shape of a book, you will not get very high ratings because it is not enough to represent learning, just by a book. As highlighted in the brief, you NEED to bring out the 8 multiple intelligences, that everyone is different and has talents, and learning is fun. There are many submissions and I will try and give feedback. But in the meantime, please take this comment into consideration, and refine your design, if necessary. Thank you!
