Contest Brief

We assist people who have money owed to them from something called excess proceeds from a tax sale. Basically if someone lets a property go to tax sale, and the minimum bid is 10k and it gets bid up to 50k at the auction, then the excess proceeds of 40k belongs to the person who let it go to tax sale. It is very hard for them to find out about it because usually if they don’t claim it within 1 year, then the county takes it, so the counties have an interest to make sure the owners have a hard time finding out about it. We assist them in collecting it and split the proceeds.
