Contest Brief
Design a logo for a 50's tiki themed bar and restaurant. The name of the establishment is YoTiki Lounge and Supper Club. Design elements can and should include Tiki's, flames, skulls, palm trees, hula girls, 50's style fonts and whatever else you can dream up that fits the theme. The logo should be a mix of classic 50's design and more kitschy modern Tiki elements. The design should invoke fun and good times but keep a touch of 50's class. The rough sketch should only be used to get an idea of what I'm looking for. Please don't feel the need to stick with the layout or colors I've proposed. I only wanted to get across the basic idea. Logo should be colorful.

“The logo design was top notch and absolutely blew me away. Communication wasn\'t as forthcoming as other designers but also was on me as I didn\'t press for changes as the initial logo was almost perfect. Only complaints are that there were some artifacts in the logo but they were easily cleaned up in photoshop. I have decent photoshop skills and it was no big deal but could be if you weren\'t able to edit the files yourself. ”

I re-rated everyone's entries to more clearly define the leaders. There are 3 outstanding entries at this point: Elars #42 , pauliciaolivier #36 and crvdesign #14 . Awesome work and I am overwhelmed with the efforts so far. I may award several winners based on what I've seen so far because this stuff is far exceeding my expectations (and I don't know if I can pick a clear favorite at this point!). and we never used the image as is, as a experience graphic artist you are allowed to use stock images and change or not,,,but i guess its up to the contest holder to decide....if he wishes sumthing else we will change,,,,

I like the idea but the feel just isn't right for me. Too dark and there shouldn't be a pirate. The mask isn't tiki. Seems more African than Pacific Islander. The tiki is very important for the concept.

Good entries so far. Let me give some general feedback. The Tiki should be the central focus. Other design items are secondary. I like a lot about Juanmixx's entries but they don't contain a tiki! Tosiffarhan's #13 is a great start but a little too minimal, needs more. Paulonius and Elars are my favorites at this point but I'm not liking the pastels on #12 or the bright colors on #2.
